Basement Artists aims to cultivate a creative environment that embraces the range and diversity represented in the genres, vision, and art of its contributors. By encouraging an open forum, Basement Artists works to engage artists and audiences that may otherwise not gravitate to the local art scene.
Basement Artists increases access points to the work of underground artists, musicians, and performers by bringing them together with audiences across many different venues and events. In this spirit of cross-promotion, Basement Artists regularly hosts benefit events for non-profit charitable groups and supports its artists, musicians, and performers in their contributions to local charity events.
Basement Artists is working to expand the opportunities available to local artists and increase the accessibility of existing resources. In line with this effort, Basement Artists is currently pursuing non-profit status, in order to diversify the opportunities available to its artists, musicians, and performers.

By providing promotional assistance, hosting regular art and music shows, and curating exhibits across the city, Basement Artists works to cultivate an environment of collective self promotion that engages a diverse range of artists and audiences.
